Spring 2009 - Southampton, England Spring 2009 takes us to Southampton. As a a well positioned major UK city, Southampton is brimming with things to do - whether you like culture, nature or sport there is plenty to keep everyone occupied all year round. Winter 2008 - Norwich, England Autumn 2008 - Cardiff, Wales As Scotland’s largest city, Glasgow, situated on the River Clyde, is friendly and vibrant. George Square is at the centre and the main shopping area, Buchanan Street, runs to the southwest of George Square, and to the east, regenerated Merchant City is full of designer stores and loft apartments. "Old Situated in east London at the most prominent curve in the River Thames lies Canary Wharf, a buzzing metropolis that has exploded onto the London skyline over the last 20 years. Most perceive this area as purely a business and financial centre. But this is merely the tip of the iceberg. The area is oozing with fabulous properties for families and young single professionals alike. With converted warehouses, new flats and duplex apartments with stunning river side locations as well as sizable Victorian houses and the highly desirable dock worker's houses, the Canary Wharf area truely has it all.
The city benefits from fabulous transport links, whether by road, rail, air or sea. In recent years, major residential and commercial projects have transformed this historically rich city.
Southampton is particularly popular with young families, professionals and students. Northern areas of the city near the University of Southampton feature an abundance of student accommodation and house shares. With the effects of the credit crunch being felt and a slow down in property sales, it is unsurprising that the rental market in Southampton as a whole is booming.
Like many savvy landlords, our clients want to minimise the cost of finding tenants and setting up the tenancy. Most experienced landlords have come across poor letting agents that have cost them a lot of money but delivered little value for money. Many have told us they want to let out their property themselves, viewing the process as little more than an exercise in administration. We provide landlords that are willing to handle viewings and the administration of setting a tenancy up with the tools to save their hard earned cash. We are delighted that our client base is expanding rapidly in the Southampton area.

Moreover, a number of major insurance and media companies are also located in Norwich bringing velocity to the housing market in general. Many landlords in Norwich have asked us to help them let their property, preferring to keep full control of the process, but relying on a professional partner like Rentfromtheowner to handle all the marketing, both on-line and at the property itself, in the form of a tailored ‘to-let’ board. In the process we save our clients lots of money – often running into thousands of pounds for the larger properties.
